Timothy R. Fray, Esq.
Born and raised in Fairfield, Tim attended Fairfield Prep before moving to Philadelphia for college, graduating with a B.S. from Saint Joseph’s University in 2016. Law school brought Tim back home to Connecticut and he moved to Hamden to attend Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2020. While in law school, Tim served as the executive managing editor of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal while working as a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut in New Haven. He also worked in the law school’s Civil Justice Clinic, appearing in the Regional Children’s Probate Court on an application for special immigrant juvenile status.
Contributions To The Legal Community
Tim has focused his practice on probate, trusts, and estates since law school, and counts himself lucky to have learned from some of the best mentors in Fairfield County. Believing in a practical approach, Tim works to get to know each client on a personal level to better understand their goals and objectives while developing an individualized estate plan tailored to their specific needs. In addition to preparing Wills, Trusts, and other advance directive documents for his clients, Tim also represents executors and administrators throughout the estate settlement process in the local probate courts. Tim also tries to give back to the community, frequently serving as court-appointed counsel for indigent individuals in sensitive probate proceedings such as conservatorships, guardianships, and involuntary commitments.
Home And Heart
Tim currently lives in Hamden with his fiancée Kayla, who he met in law school and who works as an appellate public defender, along with their dog, Duckie, and their cat, Twiggy. When not in the office, Tim can often be found hiking in Connecticut’s many excellent parks and open spaces, reading, or traveling with Kayla. He is especially proud of their having walked the Camino de Santiago together in 2022 and looks forward to whatever challenges and adventures life presents him with next.
